2025 Photo Contest Rules

Limit of two photographs may be submitted in each of the categories listed below.

Tips for submitting:

iPhone users: open the Photos app, tap Share, choose Mail, and send to Granville4thPhotos@gmail.com.
Android users: open Photos, tap Share, choose Email, and send to Granville4thPhotos@gmail.com.
SLR/DSLR/Mirrorless cameras: submit JPEG files only (no TIFF or RAW). Attach your photo(s) and include the required information in the email body, then send to Granville4thPhotos@gmail.com.
PRINTED SUBMISSIONS also accepted by mail: 8x10 printed entries will be accepted. Please include or email an electronic version also to Granville4thPhotos@gmail.com. Mail by post to: Granville Kiwanis July 4th Photo Contest, PO Box 133, Granville, OH 43023.

Exhibition and Opening Awards Reception

A formal public exhibition of the judged winning photographs will be on display at the Bryn Du Art Center and open to the public to view free of charge. The gallery will be open Friday Sept. 5 PM from 6-8:30 PM, Sat. Sept. 6 from 11-1 PM, on Sun. and Sept. 7 from 2-5 PM.

During the exhibition, the public will vote for their favorite photograph and win a chance for local gift cards and prizes.

Judging Criteria:

Photographs that evoke an emotion or tell a story. Photographic technique, including composition, image quality, clarity, resolution, use of light, lines and perspective. Relevance to category. Originality/creativity.

Award winners will be announced and awards presented at the Bryn Du Art Center during the Gallery Opening and Reception on Friday, Sept. 5, 2025 from 6-8:30 PM.
